Day 01: | Phnompenh Arrival - Tour to City (Lunch, Dinner) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Upon arrival at the airport, pick up and drive to city for check in. Time for lunch and then we will witness the National Museum of Khmer Arts, with its warm red terracotta and its gracefully curved roof topped by dozens of guardian nagas. Then we continue to the nearby Royal Palace, one of the most beautiful samples of Khmer palace, which allows us to visit the precious, Throne Hall, Prasat Khemarin, Prasat Samrn Phirum, Hor Preah Khan, Chan Chhaya, and Silver Pagoda where the king regularly does the warship. We pass through the River Front Park whose scenery is much worth shooting, and continue to the only one hill in town with sacred sites called Wat Phnom. Accomoddation in Phnom Penh. Day 02: | Phnompenh - Historical killing field (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Today, we spend the morning visiting the unforgotten Cheung Ek killing field where is a genocidal site. Then visit Toul Sleng Museum where is the largest center of detention and torture of Khmer Rough regime and city orientation tour includes Phnom Penh Municipality Hall, National Library, National Bank, Independence Monument, and shopping at Russian/New Central Market where we find various kinds of souvenirs ranging from clothes to galleries, and back the hotel. Day 03: | Siemreap - Tour to Kompong Thom - Siem Reap (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Today, we will depart for Siemreap on land road. On the way, we will stop by Kompong Thom Province to visit the town and to visit Sambor Prei Kuk, pre-angkorian site (7th C.). The complex of Ishanapura is composed of 4 groups of temples. These are among the most ancient surviving examples of Khmer architecture. After a half day visit Kompong Thom, we will continue with our private car direct to Siem Reap Angkor. On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in and free at leisure. Day 04: | Siemreap - Tour to Angkor Temples (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Today, in the early morning, we will enjoy the sunrise time at Angkor Wat, then start the tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, then go to Angkor Thom (the temple) which was built by Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavarman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now. Then we go to Baphoun, which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s temples in its heyday; to Terrace of the Elephants that was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; to Terrace of the Leper King, another of Angkor’s mysteries. In the afternoon, we visit the World Seventh Wonder -better known as Angkor Wat- that stands as the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor wat stretch over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. Today, we will tour to visit the exquisitely decorated pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srey, whose intricate carving has the example of Khmer classical art remaining and stands as the finest monument ever seen on the planet and Banteay Samre Temples. In the afternoon, visit Prasat Kravan, Spas srang, Banteay Kdey, Ta Keo, Ta Prohm. In the evening enjoy dinner with Apsara Dancing Show. Accommodation in Siemreap. Today, we will visit Rolous Group including Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei. Afterward we continue to visit Grand Circuit including Pre Rup (Turning the body) where there are some amazingly detailed lintel carvings here, then to East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan and Baksei Chamkrong that all represent the unique feature of Angkorian sites. Day 07: | Siemreap - Tonle Sap Lake - Departure (Breakfast, Lunch) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Today, after breakfast, we are on a boat trip to Great Lake Tonle Sap that is renowned for its basin of fresh water fish (10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60’s). Visitors may also view the fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in Tonle Sap Lake such as floating village and real style on the river.
